What is the history of Real Estate Distilled?
Real Estate Distilled was started in 2018. We’ve slowly and organically been growing the conference ever since. In 2019 we had about 120 attendees and in 2020, we hit 150 attendees. We unfortunately had to skip our 2021 conference due to COVID. In 2025, we had 175 attendees. Our focus has always been on growing the community and connections within it, not necessarily chasing a head count. We anticipate our 2026 event to have somewhere between 175 and 200 people. We’ve been blessed to have some of the biggest names in real estate share the stage and pour into our attendees. As an example, here is a partial list of some of our past speakers who you might recognize.
Nick Baldwin
Erik Hatch
Michael Cuevas
Renee Funk

What exactly does Real Estate Distilled mean?
One dictionary definition for distilling is the process of extracting the essential meaning or most important aspects of a subject.
During the distillation process for spirits heat is used to help separate alcohol from the mash. It is the process that concentrates the alcohol though the use of a still.
Here our community and conference acts like a still for real estate knowledge. Concentrating and extracting the most important aspects for our community.

Do I need to rent a car?
Louisville has seen great adoption of the ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft. The host hotel is only about 12 miles from the airport and will likely be about a $30.00 ride with Uber.
Additionally, the conference will be providing a shuttle from the host hotel to the conference venue.
Most people will not need to rent a car to enjoy their trip.
Who is producing and behind this conference?
Real Estate Distilled is owned and produced by Liz and Scott Hack. Liz is a licensed real estate agent with a background in non-profit consulting. She also is a publisher with N2 Publishing. She owns a publication that serves the Persimmon Ridge neighborhood in Louisville’s east end. She is responsible for ad sales, as well as content curation and generation for the monthly publication. Scott is the broker and owner of Finish Line Realty, an independent brokerage that serves the Greater Louisville area as well as Nolin Lake in Central Kentucky.
When should I fly in and out?
If you will be attending our pre-conference event for independent brokers, you will want to fly into Louisville on Sunday, March 15th, 2026. If you will be attending Real Estate Distilled without attending the pre-conference event, you can fly into town on Monday, March 16th, 2026. We will host our spirits tasting dinner or reception on the evening of the 16th, so you will want to arrive early enough to attend that if you can. If you can find a flight home on March 18th at or after 6PM, you will be able to get to the airport in plenty of time without missing any of the conference content. As you get closer to a 5pm flight, you might need to leave a little early. We typically finish our content between 3 and 3:30PM on our last day. If you decide to stay and take a flight home on Thursday March 19th, 2026, there will be additional opportunities to be a tourist, have dinner, and network with your new friends.
Do I have to pay to park?
Both the venue and the hotel have free parking.
I don’t drink alcohol. Is this conference for me?
Though we lean into the bourbon tourism that Louisville offers, Real Estate Distilled the conference has no more or less alcohol as any other business conference. We simply lean into the bourbon tourism that the area offers for our theme. We do also offer an optional add-on bourbon tasting dinner that our attendees can attend. For better or worse, you won’t see anymore drinking at Real Estate Distilled than you would at other business conferences. In fact, many of our attendees have been exploring the rising trend of the NA beverage choices.
